There's Always One

Here I am, Leg 1 of my Journey to Zurich complete. I'm sitting in The Oasis airline lounge in Terminal 4 of JFK, killing a 5 hour layover before my KLM/Delta flight leaves for Amsterdam. The Oasis is anything but: there is a very loud older guy -- looks like he's been a businessman since the 60s, I think -- whose voice can be heard all over the club. No kidding: I went to the women's restroom and could still hear him (faintly). I may risk the hubbub of the concourse earlier than I planned if he doesn't let up.

But anyway! That's not how the first post of a blog should be. My blog -- Will Travel For Beer (and Blue Man Group) -- is something I should have been doing for at least four or five years. I love to travel, and Blue Man Group has given me an excuse to explore the world. So far I've visited Blue Man in New York, Boston, Chicago, Las Vegas, Orlando and Toronto, Canada; East Lansing, Clarkston, and Grand Rapids, MI; Rosemont, IL; Cleveland, OH; a suburb of Fort Worth, TX; seen them tape shows for Wayne Brady and Jay Leno in California; and travelled abroad to Amsterdam, NL; London, UK; Berlin, Stuttgart, and Oberhausen, Germany; Basel, Switzerland, and Tokyo, Japan.

And now I'm on my way back to Switzerland to see Blue Man, this time in Zurich.

Next post, I'll talk about the beer.
